Norwegian is a low-cost airline from Norway and it was founded in 1993. The airline traces back to Busy Bee Airservice in 1967 and was later named Norwegian Executive and Norwegian Shuttle. The low-fare operation started in 2002. Norwegian is based at Oslo Gardermoen Airport and flies Boeing 737 aircraft only, including 737-300's. The airline paints portraits of famous Norwegian people on its tails. The aircraft on the photograph LN-KKG depicts the aviation pioneer Gidsken Jakobsen (1908-1990), the second Norwegian woman with a pilot's licence (at the age of 20) and the first woman with her own airline in Scandinavia, which she founded in 1932.
