Alaska Airlines started flying in 1932 as McGee Airways and adopted its present name in 1944. The airline operates hubs at Anchorage, Seattle-Tacoma, Portland and Los Angeles and the fleet includes around one hundred Boeing 737 aircraft of different models. The photograph shows a 737-800 at Anchorage. The eskimo-logo on this particular aircraft has a contrasting flower-belt because of the inauguration of flights to Hawaii.
