Virgin Atlantic Airways is the second largest airline in the UK. It was founded in 1984 by the British business tycoon Richard Branson and is part of his Virgin Group. The airline specialises in long-haul air services and for this purpose flies Airbus A340 and Boeing 747-400 aircraft.
