The Boeing 747LCF (Large Cargo Freighter) or 'Dreamlifter', is a specially modified version of the Boeing 747-400 for the transport of outsize aircraft parts. The Dreamlifter is part of the production chain of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Large 787-structures like wings and fuselage sections are being built in Japan and other countries and flown to the final assembly line in Seattle by the Dreamlifter. The LCF is not for sale as a Boeing product.

The concept of the Boeing 747LCF Dreamlifter is similar to that of the Airbus A300-600ST Beluga and the earlier Super Guppy. A difference between the Beluga and the Dreamlifter is that the latter is a conversion of existing Boeing 747-400 aircraft and that the Belugas were built as new aircraft. The Dreamlifter has a much wider fuselage with three times the volume of the standard 747-400F. The aircraft also has a swing-tail for easy loading. The conversions are carried out in Taiwan by Evergreen Aviation Technologies Corporation, a joint venture of EVA Air and General Electric.

The first flight took place on September 9 2006. The Dreamlifters are operated by the US airline Evergreen International Airlines (not related to EVA Air).
