Air China is the flag carrier and one of the three biggest airlines of China. It is China's main international airline and it is based in Beijing. The airline actually was the former international division of the CAAC (Civil Aviation Authority of China) and it was renamed 'Air China' in 1988. During many years China relied on Sovjet aircraft types for its air traffic, but since the 1980s many modern Western jets were introduced. Air China flies ten Boeing 777-200s and on the picture one of them is taking off from Beijing Capital Airport.
