Airliner Gallery - BAE Systems Avro RJX

The final development of the original BAe-146 was the Avro RJX. Two versions flew, the RJX-85 on April 30 2001 and the RJX-100 on September 23 2001, but due to bad market forecasts BAE Systems (formerly BAe) dropped the project. The first RJX-100 is now on display at the visitor's enclosure at Manchester Airport. Note the different form of the engines compared to the earlier aircraft.
