Fokker 100 - DBA

Fokker 100 DBA

DBA was a low-fare airline, formerly named Deutsche BA, the German subsidiary of British Airways. BA took over the German regional airline Delta Air in 1992, after the liberalisation of the European air transport market, which allowed EC-airlines to start services within other EC-countries than their home country. BA renamed the airline Deutsche BA. Fokker 100 Deutsche BAIn 2003 the airline was sold and renamed DBA. In 2006 DBA was taken over by Air Berlin and that meant the end of the DBA-livery shown on Fokker 100s and Boeing 737s of the airline, like the aircraft on the photograph above.
The picture left shows the earlier colour scheme of Deutsche BA. Both photographs are taken at Düsseldorf Airport.
